LDM: Horror Babe Of The Week: Anjelica Huston

Hey. My name is Tiffany Scandal and I'm a good for-nothing-broad.

Today, I'm happy to bring you the first installment of Horror Babe Of The Week. I was wracking my head over trying to find the perfect first. The horror scene in general has tons of babes, both of the male and female variety, and it gets super tough to narrow it down. While there are obvious ones like Elvira, Bela Lugosi, Jamie Lee Curtis, etc. I figured I'd, well, shit, I don't know. My first pick is known by many, but maybe not often the first babe to come to mind . . . unless you're referencing her character as Morticia Addams {meow}. Yes, I am referring to Anjelica Huston.

Huston was the first person I wanted to be when I grew up. I was obsessed with the film adaption of Ronald Dahl's The Witches. I'm not joking. Back when video stores/video clubs were still in existence and people rented VHS tapes (yeah, I went there), I would beg my family to let me rent that movie again. I didn't care if I had just returned the movie ten minutes prior. I wanted to watch that movie all of the time. Why? Because Anjelica-fucking-Huston, that's why.

Sure, she hated kids and wanted to turn them all into mice, but she was a total badass. She was the Grand High Witch and she walked into every room like she owned it. She was strong, powerful, determined.

Even her true form was pretty fucking metal. <3

Anyway, I think most people lust over her as Morticia Addams. While Carolyn Jones was drop dead beautiful, Huston brought some umph into that role. Her confidence oozed sex, and her as Morticia Addams gave me yet another role model. Here you have this stunning woman: intelligent, confident, loyal, and loving. She had a functional marriage, her kids didn't hate her, and no matter how tough things got, she did what she could to keep her family afloat.

Yeah, what a babe.

Another photo from her modeling days. In the 60s and 70s, she was revered for her unique look which was very unlike the blonde all-American women gracing the covers of fashion magazines.

That's it. Horror Babe Of The Week. Stay tuned for an awesome interview and Adventure #2.

Keep it Creepy.
